A 30-year old Brighton man faces multiple drug charges after Watertown Police caught him allegedly selling drugs in the West End of Watertown.

Police received reports that a Dodge Caravan had been coming to Highland Avenue to meet other cars and exchange something before leaving the area, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.

Police watched the area where the Caravan was seen, and found a vehicle. A short time later another vehicle showed up.

“It appeared that two individuals were engaging in a drug deal,” Lawn said.

Officers approached the people involved in the deal, and found one of them had a baggie in his lap with what appeared to be heroin inside, and placed the man, identified as Angel Jose Collazo-Martinez, under arrest.

When police searched Collazo-Martinez they found more drugs on him, including 40 individual bags of what is believed to be cocaine and 13 bags of what is believed to be heroin, Lawn said.

Police charged Angel Jose Collazo-Martinez, 30, of Brighton, with distributing a Class A drug, possession to distribute a Class A drug, trafficking a Class B substance of more than 18 grams and conspiracy to violate the drug law.
