The Raiders football team suffered its first loss of the season in an overtime thriller at Victory Field.

Watertown lead late in the game, but Wakefield kicked a late 48-yard field goal to send tie the game at 20 and send the game to overtime.

In overtime, the Raiders took the lead with a 28-yard field goal, but Wakefield scored a touchdown to clinch the victory.

Watertown fell to 2-1 overall and 0-1 in the Middlesex League. Next Friday Watertown hosts Melrose at 7 p.m. at Victory Field.
