The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Friday and Saturday. Up to three inches of rain could drop on the area during that time, and combining with melting snow could lead to flooding.

Heavy rain is expected to hit the area beginning Friday afternoon and continuing through Saturday morning. The rain plus the snow melt could result in stream and river flooding. The Flood Watch is in effect from 6 a.m. Friday to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Also, snow-clogged storm drains could lead to street flooding in the area.

Temperatures will be balmy to start the weekend, with a high of 60 forecast for Friday and 48 and Saturday, but will quickly return to wintery conditions with a low of 18 on Saturday night and high of 27 on Sunday, the National Weather Service forecasts.

Winds will be mostly between 10 and 15 mph on Friday and Saturday, but there will be gusts above 40 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
