The 2019 Watertown Summer Concert Series features a wide range of music, from children’s to swing to blues to country.
The Town of Watertown released the following information about the summer concerts:
SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

JUNE 26 – THE STACEY PEASLEY BAND
Join us for a family concert with The Stacey Peasley Band. Children and adults alike will want to dance, clap and sing! Stacey’s joyful and inventive
songs, catchy melodies and energetic beats will lift your spirits!
JULY 3 – THE WALTHAM AMERICAN LEGION BAND
Come celebrate the birth of our Nation! The Waltham American Legion Band was formed in 1948. It has performed across the United States, as well as in Europe. It was the first American Band to play in Russia, where it performed “God Bless America” in Red Square. The band performs in concerts, parades, ceremonies, and special events.
JULY 10 – JAY PSAROS BAND
Jay Psaros has been called a “storyteller of precision,” a “master guitar player,” and a musical “painter of beautiful, rolling images.” Over the past several years, Jay has completely immersed himself in the music industry. Jay has toured the country playing shows for audiences big and small. His musical versatility has allowed him to share the stage with a variety of international acts.
JULY 17 – WESTWOOD SWING BAND
Westwood Swing Band exemplifies the hard-driving sound of the Big Bands of swing. Its 15 instrumentalists and vocalist, Gail Riley, will be performing a mix of tunes popularized by such noteworthy artists as Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Peggy Lee, Barbara Streisand, and Stevie Wonder. For the kids’ enjoyment, the band plays Disney movie musical standouts.
JULY 24 – MAJOR DISTURBANCE
Major Disturbance emerges from the Boston 70’s and 80’s music scene with high energy original music and classic rock rare cuts.
JULY 31 – BLUES DOGS
Blues Dogs is a collection of Boston mutts that all love to play the blues.
They’ve got a lot of influences in their blood streams: a little South Side Chicago, a little Texas boogie, a little uptown urban sophistication, and even a little jazz. Their complex vocal harmonies really add to the mix.
AUGUST 7 – SOUTHBOUND TRAIN
Southbound Train is a high energy, vocal-oriented, contemporary seven-
piece country band playing the best of country music’s past and present.
