The Watertown Free Public Library’s Hatch Makerspace will be teaming up with the Plumbing Museum to put on a Halloween Costume Contest. See the Library’s announcement below.

On Halloween Night, Hatch Makerspace will host its second annual costume contest, Halloween by Hatch, at the Plumbing Museum in Watertown. This free, family-friendly event celebrates the ingenuity and design of home-made Halloween costumes with treats, music, and (of course) great photo-ops throughout the museum. Come dressed in your best Halloween finery!

As part of the night’s festivities, participants will have the chance to walk the runway and vote for their favorite costumes. Great local prizes will be awarded to the top Adult and Youth costumes, and People’s Choice.

Halloween by Hatch takes place on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 6:30–8:30 p.m. The event is free and open to all, registration is not required.

To compete in the costume contest, arrive between 6:30-7 p.m. to sign up. The only rule is that at least 50 percent of your costume must be handmade.

The Plumbing Museum is located at 80 Rosedale Road, Watertown.

Hatch Makerspace is an initiative of the Watertown Free Public Library, located at 20 Summer St. It is a public workshop with space, equipment, and materials available for your use.
