Despite frigid temperatures, hundreds turned out for the 20th annual Donohue's Turkey Trot.

Register now for the 2019 Donohue’s Turkey Trot.

One of Watertown’s Thanksgiving tradition, the Donohue’s Turkey Trot, will take place the morning of Turkey Day, and registration is now open.

The 5K fun run and walk raises money for the Watertown Boys & Girls Club. It begins at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28 beginning outside Donohue’s, 87 Bigelow Ave., Watertown.

Race day registration opens at 7 a.m., and costs $40 per person. Participants who pre-register will pay $33. Click here to register.

A free kids race will be held right after the start of the 5K race.

There will also be a costume contest following the race.

Runners and fans can enjoy a free breakfast at the restaurant, and enjoy music and drinks after the race.

Organizers provided the following information:

Like 2018, we’ll once again have a team competition with prizes for the fastest team and largest team. We’ve also got an amazing prize for the person who refers the most runners into the race:
FREE Donohue’s chicken wings for a year! All runners are entered into our post-race raffle, which includes
over 50 six-packs of beer and bottles of wine!

  • Pre/post-race breakfast opens at 8am

  • Enjoy music and beer at Donohue’s after-party!
