Registration Open for February, April Vacation Programs for Kids, Skiing Bruins Tickets Available

The Watertown Recreation Department will be running programs for kids for February and April vacations. Also, the department has tickets available for certain Boston Bruins games.

Wachusett Mountain Ski-Board Program

This program is designed to provide middle and high school students with a fun and safe atmosphere to learn elements of skiing or boarding or to improve their skills. All participants must wear helmets while skiing or boarding. Space is limited on the bus provided by the recreation department. Please register early. All participants’ parents must register online with Wachusett Mountain. Please register for the transportation with Watertown Recreation

Who: Grades 6 – 12

When: Saturday Evenings
January 4 – February 8, 2020 (Meets once a week for 6 weeks)

Time: 4 p.m. – 11 p.m.

Where: Bus leaves The WPS Superintendent’s Office parking lot at 31 Marshall Street at 4:00pm, SHARP

Fee: Register online with Wachusett Mountain on their website www.wachusett.com/schoolgroups for lift ticket, equipment and lessons.
Enter School Group Code: WTRR. Select Season Pass or for Lift Badge only, prices are as follows:
Price: $160.00 (This includes a $20 weekend evening charge)
Select Optional Items: Lessons, Equipment Rentals, Insurance, Freestyle, COW Card Register online www.recreation.watertown-ma.gov for bus transportation. Fee is $150.00. Please submit “Town of Watertown” waiver/insurance form (available by clicking here).

February Vacation Program

Children will be divided into groups by grades at the start of the program. They will participate in activities such as basketball, whiffle ball, floor hockey and indoor soccer, etc. In addition, there will be arts and crafts, board games, movies and various special events. Participants should bring a bag lunch, snack and drink. We will also be attending a field trip on Thursday, Feb. 20 to Xtreme Craze at 15 Presidential Way in Woburn MA. Registration is on first come first serve basis Maximum of 75 Students

Who: Grades 1-8

When: Tuesday-Friday

February 18–February 21, 2020

Time: Early Drop-Off: 7:30-8:45 a.m. optional
Program Hours: 8:45 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Extended Day: 2:30-5:30 p.m. optional

Where: Watertown Middle School

Fee: Regular Hours $100 Resident, $125 Non-Resident
Early Drop-Off $25.00 optional
Extended Day $55.00 optional

April Vacation Program

Program Hours: 8:45am-2:30 p.m.
Extended Day: 2:30-5:30 p.m. optional

Boston Bruins Tickets: 2019-2020 Season

Boston Bruins Tickets available for the 2019-2020 season. Registration is on first come first serve basis Tickets picked up at the Recreation Office

Who: All Ages (Watertown Residents and Employees Only)

When:

  • Saturday, Feb. 15, 1 p.m. vs. Detroit $125, Balcony 320, Row 12-14 – 15 tickets
  • Saturday, March 7, 7 p.m. vs. Tampa Bay $125 Balcony 326, Row 8, 9 – 15 tickets
  • Saturday, April 4, 7 p.m. vs. Carolina $ 125.00 Balcony 326, Row 7, 8 – 15 tickets
