Cyclist Falls Off Bike in Watertown Square, Backs Up Traffic

A man fell off his bicycle on Mt. Auburn Street near Watertown Square Saturday evening, causing traffic delays in the area. The cyclist appeared to have suffered minor injuries, and was taken to hospital by an ambulance, according to a witness. Another witness said the man fell without being touched by another vehicle. He also was described as acting strangely, possibly intoxicated.

Two Injured in Accident on Charles River Road, Infant Not Injured

A man and a woman suffered injuries in an accident on Charles River Road on Monday afternoon, but the infant traveling with them was not harmed. The accident occurred on Monday at about 4:45 p.m. when a 2013 Nissan Sentra drove off the roadway, near Pequossette Street, and struck a light pole, according to Massachusetts State Police spokesman Lt. Tom Ryan. It appeared to be caused because the driver was speeding. A man stopped to get some coffee at Dunkin Donuts on Mt. Auburn Street, but he the stop ended up being longer than he anticipated. Richard Corbett told WHDH Channel 7 that a woman rear ended his car, sending it into the Dunkin Donuts store on Thursday morning. The car and store suffered damages, but no body was injured.
