Police Log: Scammer Impersonates U.S. Marshal, Amazon Customer Service Scam

Aug 8, 12:30 a.m.: An officer patrolling in Watertown Square ran the plates of a grey BMW and discovered the vehicle had a revoked registration. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer confirmed the owner was driving. The man said he had purchased the vehicle from a friend.

Aug 28, 12:48 a.m.: An officer on a traffic detail saw a vehicle with no headlights on and the hazard lights blinking driving on Mt. Auburn Street near Arlington Street. The vehicle struck the curb while pulled into the parking lot at 7-Eleven. When the vehicle left, the driver swerved across the double yellow line, and then went back onto the correct side.

July 25, 11:48 a.m.: Detectives from the Suburban Middlesex County Drug Task Force observed a man making a drug sale on Brookline Street. The man had been under investigation for a month. After the sale, police pulled the suspect’s vehicle over. They immediately noticed two tied off corner plastic bags with a white rock substance inside the vehicle.

July 18, 11:48 a.m.: An officer patrolling in Watertown Square spotted a vehicle running a red light going from North Beacon Street onto Galen Street. The driver was pulled over and police discovered he was wanted on drug charges. William Reynolds, 43, of Boston, was arrested on the warrant from Dorchester District Court for possession with intent to distribute a Class D drug, and possession to distribute a Class B drug. He was also cited for a red light violation.

July 17, 11:10 a.m.: A set of golf clubs was stolen out of a vehicle parked at an apartment building on Pleasant Street.

Police Log: Pair Busted for Apartment Break-in, Porsche Stolen & Crashed

July 11th: Police served arrest warrants on two people involved in two incidents in Watertown, including an apartment break-in. The first incident occurred on June 4, when a resident of an apartment building on Main Street reported that a package was missing. Security footage showed a person enter the vestibule and take several packages. On June 29, police investigated a breaking and entering of an apartment on Mt.

July 8, 3:18 p.m.: Security at Perkins School for the Blind spotted an unknown person walking around on the school property. They attempted to speak to the man but he left the property. Police located the man on North Beacon Street, and he said he was walking on the property because it was shady and quiet. Officers learned that he was wanted on a warrant.

July 1, 12:07 a.m.: An officer spotted a vehicle stopped facing the wrong way on Baptist Walk. The Jeep Grand Cherokee had its engine running and was facing toward Mt. Auburn Street, on the road which is one way the other direction. The driver appeared to be sleeping behind the wheel, and the officer had to knock several times to wake him.
