Public Flocks to See Artwork Created by Students from All the Watertown Schools

Artwork created by students in Watertown High School art classes are part of the display at the annual Watertown Public Schools K-12 Art Show. Colorful paintings of animals, detailed portraits sketched in pencil, and still lifes of fruits and vegetables greet visitors of the Watertown Mall these days. The artwork comes courtesy of Watertown Public Schools students from elementary school all the way to the high school. The annual Watertown Public Schools Art Show will be on display at the Watertown Mall through April 11. On April 1, a reception was held for the artist, their parents, teachers, and interested viewers.

Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of “The Very Happy Caterpillar”

The following information was provided by the Watertown Mall and Watertown Families Together:

The Watertown Mall, located at 550 Arsenal St., together with Watertown Families Together, will be hosting a 50th Anniversary celebration of The Very Hungry Caterpillar on Thursday, March 21, 2019, from 10:00-11:00 am. This is a free event & all ages are welcome, although it is catered to younger children. This will take place in the back hallway of the mall, across from Carter’s. There will be crafts, singing, and a special reading of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Come celebrate this beloved book with you little ones!

Irish Dancers Performing in Watertown at St. Patty’s Celebration

The Watertown Mall provided the following announcement:

The Sullivan School of Irish Dance is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day at the Watertown Mall! They will perform on Saturday, March 16 starting at 2:00 pm and running for 30 minutes. Founded over 30 years ago by Clare Sullivan, a four-time New England Champion Irish dancer, the school teaches students as young as 4 years old the art & athleticism of Irish Dance. In addition to performing at local venues, they have performed at Fenway Park & Patriot Place.

Free Blood Pressure Screening at Watertown Mall

Every first Friday of the month, the Watertown Mall hosts a free blood pressure screening from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. For this upcoming month, this will happen on March 1, 2019. The screenings are sponsored by the Watertown Health Department. Screenings take place in the back hallway of the mall, near Target & Carter’s. About the Watertown Mall:

Children’s Valentine’s Day Event at the Watertown Mall

The Watertown Mall, located at 550 Arsenal St., Watertown, and Watertown Families Together are hosting “Share Your Love” – a Valentine’s Day on February 14, 2019 starting at 10:00 am. This is a free event & all ages are welcome, although it is catered to younger children. The event’s specific location is in the back hallway, across from Carter’s and next to Target. This event will include crafting activities (Valentine’s Day cards), singing songs, storytelling, and some surprises. About the Watertown Mall

Watertown Mall, Health Department Host Monthly Blood Pressure Screenings

Judy, an active member of the Watertown Mall’s Walking Club is shown with Wil from the Watertown Health Department at her blood pressure screening. The Mall offers blood pressure screenings once a month on Friday. The following information was provided by the Watertown Mall:

Create a Winter Craft with Watertown Families Together

The Watertown Mall, located at 550 Arsenal St., Watertown, with Watertown Families Together will be hosting a Merry Mitten Morning event for children and their caregivers to shake off the cold January 17, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. The event will be held in the back hallway, next to the Target, across from Carter’s. Mall Offering Free Blood Pressure Screenings

Free Blood Pressure Screening! On the first Friday of every month, the Watertown Mall has a free blood pressure screening, according to an announcement from the mall. Screenings are sponsored by the Watertown Health Department. This month screening takes place Friday, Jan. 4 from 10am to 11am.
