Neighbors of the home on Boyd Street where three people were found dead Sunday morning heard the sister of one of the victims screaming after she discovered the three bodies with gunshot wounds. They also said the home had been owned by the same family for many years.

On Aug. 31, Watertown Police and the Middlesex District Attorney’s office said the three victims — an elderly woman and a couple — lived in the two-family home and knew each other. They added that there was no threat to the public. WHDH Channel 7 reported that officials said they won’t be searching for any suspects.

WCVB Channel 5 spoke to a neighbor who heard a woman who had been in the home say, “My sister died.”

Another neighbor heard a woman screaming, and described the woman as “yelling bloody murder,” according to a report by NBC Boston 10.

A third neighbor said that the family had lived in the home “for a long time,” WHDH reported. Neighbors said they had never heard arguments coming from the home.

The identities of the three people have not been released.

  1. Police and the DA haven’t released any updates, but Boston 25 News had this report yesterday:

As of Monday night, Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan’s Office and Watertown Police haven’t provided any updates about the investigation or identified the victims.
But spiritual leaders from the Armenian community in Watertown are trying to make sense of the tragedy that’s rocked the neighborhood.
“They didn’t really deserve this tragedy that took place in their life,” said Father Arakel Aljalian, a pastor at St. James Armenian Church.
He’s trying to help members of the parish navigate this nightmare.
“We’re going to have a funeral of three individuals at the same time because they were living as one family,” he said.
Father Aljalian says the three victims were members of his faith community.

The police have said they think no one else is at risk, thought they haven’t said why. We are to draw our own conclusions at this point. Or wait for more information. What a terrible loss. I’m so sorry for the family and the community.
