NBC will air the finals of the 2025 American Ninja Warrior competition, and Watertown’s own Matt D’Amico is one of the 32 finalists.
D’Amico has competed in America Ninja Warrior in previous years, and also is a member of the Boston Celtics Dunk Team, according to his Instagram page.
The athletes take on a course that challenges strength, speed, and agility. In the finals, the competitors will compete in a bracket tournament competition, according to NBC.
“After weeks of jaw-dropping runs and heart-wrenching wipeouts, the stage is set for the ultimate test of strength, speed, and strategy. For fans who have followed every leap and swing this summer, the last chapter promises to deliver the heat as the Season 17 bracket-style championship concludes,” the NBC announcement said.
D’Amico is one of three competitors from Massachusetts, according to the story on WWLP Channel 22 out of Chicopee.
The bracket kicked off on Aug. 18 and will conclude tonight, August 25, at 8 p.m. on NBC. The Season 17 finale will also be available to stream the next day on Peacock.
