This weekend you can get out and enjoy the nice weather during a Summer Solstice celebration, check out the first performance by the Boston Dance Company in Watertown, catch a World Cup game or two, see a new play, and take a bike ride while learning some history on Juneteenth.

BOSTON DANCE THEATER & MOSESIAN ARTS LIVE – CROSSCURRENTS
Saturday, June 20 at 7 p.m. & Sunday, June 21 at 2 p.m.
Mosesian Center for the Arts, 321 Arsenal St.

Spanning repertory by internationally recognized choreographers, new works created for Boston Dance Theater’s Trainee Program, and performances by guest artists rooted in the local dance community, Crosscurrents offers a layered and immersive audience experience. The program moves between virtuosic contemporary dance, codified training traditions, and embodied philosophical practices, creating a rich field of exchange across styles, lineages, and generations.

The evening features selections from BDT’s repertory, including works set to music by Johann Sebastian Bach and Maurice Ravel, alongside new creations by emerging choreographers. Guest artists Anugraha Raman and Kohal Das highlight the diversity of Indian dance traditions. Together, these artists offer a deeply expressive, tradition-rooted approach to movement.

SUMMER SOLSTICE CELEBRATION

Mount Auburn Cemetery (entrance at 580 Mount Auburn St., Cambridge)

Replenish your mind, body, and soul at Summer SOLSTICE on Sunday, June 21. With offerings of free and paid activities including mindfulness walks, yoga, a cyanotype making workshop, meditation, a poetry reading, community concert, and a sound bath, Summer SOLSTICE will be a restorative and healing experience for people of all ages. Many activities are ticketed.

WORLD CUP WATCH PARTY
Friday, June 19 at 3 p.m. 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
ACEC, 47 Nichols Ave.

If you are looking for a place to watch the U.S. play Australia in the World Cup on Friday, or either of the other two games that day, the Armenian Cultural and Education Center in Watertown is hosting a watch party. The games kick off at 3 p.m. as the Americans face the Aussies. Next up is Scotland vs. Morocco at 6 p.m. The final game of the day features Brazil and Haiti at 8:30 p.m. The ACEC is an approved FIFA World Cup Viewing location. Cost is $5 per game and food and refreshments will be served.

KITTIE KNOX RIDE
Friday, June 19, Cemetery Walk at 1 p.m. Ride Starts at 3 p.m.
Mount Auburn Cemetery (entrance at 580 Mount Auburn St., Cambridge)

Join MassBike and coalition partners on Friday, June 19, 2026, for the fifth annual Kittie Knox Ride  The ride honors Knox, a Black cyclist who challenged racial and gender barriers in the 1890s cycling world. A walking tour of the Cemetery begins at 1 p.m. Knox’s descendants will be share their stories before the ride. There will be two guided route options, 20-miles and 35-miles, starting from Mount Auburn Cemetery in Watertown. A metric century begins at 8 a.m.

LIFETIME WARRANTY – LITTLE BIRDIE THEATRE COMPANY
Saturday, June 20 at 7 p.m. & Sunday, June 21 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

A New Dark Comedy by a New Boston Theatre Company. An original play by Abby Sommers, Lifetime Warranty is a dark comedy centered around a father and his two children as they grapple with the sudden death of their mother/wife, and what to do with their very very old blender. The play will be performed in the Dinah Lane Theater.
