Watertown Resident Celebrates 25 Years Working at Tufts Health Plan

Watertown resident Andrew Bergman was among 301 Tufts Health Plan employees recognized for their many years of service at the company, according to an announcement from the company. Bergman, Director of Medical Cost Planning and Analysis, is celebrating 25 years at the nationally-recognized local health insurer. In his time at Tufts Health Plan, Bergman was instrumental in launching new products and programs, including the Senior Care Options (SCO) Plan and the Public Plans QHP expansion. Bergman earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Healthcare Organization from Tufts University and a Masters in Management of Human Services from The Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University. “I am most proud of the highly competent and talented colleagues I have had the opportunity to work with and the lifelong friends I have made,” said Bergman.

Watertown Man Named Senior Project Manager at Electrical Services Contracting Firm

Gaston Electrical Co., Inc. (Gaston), a leading electrical services contractor in New England, announced today that Watertown’s Brian Demore has joined their team as Senior Project Manager, the company announced. This addition is representative of Gaston’s ongoing growth strategy – supporting current and new business workloads while coordinating with other recent senior-level hires.

Brian brings over 23 years of professional experience in the electrical industry and has worked on projects ranging from large-scale office fit-ups to complex, landmark builds like the Boston Convention Center. In his new role, Brian will oversee all aspects of respective construction projects for select clients – with duties ranging from budgeting to project workflow, manpower management, and successful project close-out. “As a lifelong Boston-area resident, it’s exciting to work with a respected company that is playing such an active role in this period of unprecedented building and construction,” said Demore.

Phase 3 of Arsenal Yards Includes Residential, Retail and a Garage

The third phase of the Arsenal Yards project will include the first of four residential buildings planned for the renovation of the Arsenal Mall. In July, Boylston Properties – the developers of the property – introduced plans for Building F (see plans here) during a Community Meeting. On the bottom floor will be restaurant and retail space, with a level of underground parking below and three levels of parking above. On top of the garage will be three floors of apartments. The design changed from the original proposal in the Master Plan Special Permit approved by the Planning Board.
