WHS Sports: College Letters Signed, New Trophy Case and All Stars

Three Watertown High School students will continue their athletic career in college, after signing letters of intent this week. Two field hockey players and a lacrosse player officially announced their college intentions this week. Emily Loprete, an All-Scholastic field hockey player, signed to play at Holy Cross. Loprete is also an standout on the Raiders ice hockey team. Fellow Raider field hockey player Allie Doggett signed to play at Boston University next year.

8 Watertown Youth Softball Players Selected to All-Star Team

Watertown’s Youth Softball Teams have eight players selected to take part in the Middle Essex Softball All-Star Game. The girls will play against some of the state’s finest players in games played at Monahan Park in Dracut on Saturday, Aug. 2. There will be games for 1o and under, 12u, 14u and 18u. The players were selected not only for their great play but also for their leadership skills and everyday enthusiasm that they bring to their team, according to the announcement from Watertown Youth Softball.
