Pair Charged With Breaking into Watertown Homes

Police arrested two men after catching them allegedly breaking into homes in a neighborhood near the Charles River. A resident called police after she became suspicious when two men asked her if she knew someone living in the area because they were serving an arrest warrant, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. Watertown Police and a Massachusetts State Trooper responded to the call and the state trooper spotted a man fitting the description get into a vehicle in a driveway on Priest Road and pull out. Then he picked up a second man. One man, identified as Mark Pasquarello, 41, of Concord, N.H., had an outstanding warrant from Middlesex Superior Court for multiple counts of possession of burglarious tools and receiving stolen property.

Police Log: Shoplifter with Baby Caught at Target, Xmas Lights Taken

Jan. 5, 5:42 p.m.: A shoplifter was detained at Target along with her 2-year-old child. Security saw the woman putting items in the baby carriage and try to leave the store without paying. Police found $133.58 in items from Target and $127.99 in merchandise from Carter’s.

Dec. 29, 6:39 p.m.: Police served a warrant on a Belmont Street resident and arrested a 47-year-old Watertown man on three warrants. Dec. 30, 3:59 a.m.: A resident reported two people breaking into cars in the area of Warren Street and Elmwood Avenue after seeing someone in his car that was parked in his driveway.

Citizen Follows Drunken Driver, Leads to Arrest

Watertown Police arrested an alleged drunken driver after an alert citizen followed the driver. 

Police received a call from a driver who was following an erratic driver on Dec. 21 at 6:02 p.m.

The driver was spotted on Arsenal Street and the citizen followed the vehicle down School Street to Mt. Auburn Street to Richards Road, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. “Officers arrived and found the vehicle parked up on the curb and blocking part of the sidewalk,” Lawn said. “The driver was asleep behind the wheel.”

Police Log: Target Catches Serial Shoplifters, Employee Caught Stealing Cash

Dec. 9, 3:30 p.m.: Target security spotted three people who had been in the store the day before and took items and got away before they could stop them. They suspected the three were the same people who had been scamming Target stores around the Boston area. The were seen taking clothes and video games and went to the back of the store where they placed them into target shopping bags.

Shoplifter Caught After Pushing His Luck at Watertown Target

A man who was spotted shoplifting at Target came back for more the next day and was caught and arrested. On Dec. 7 at 10:53 a.m., Target security spotted a man who they recognized because he had been spotted taking a cellphone the previous day, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. “The next day he came back and got another cellphone and some toys,” Lawn said. “He paid for the cellphone and tried to leave without paying for the toys.”
