Police Catch Two Alleged Home Invaders Hours After Breaking Into Watertown Home

Police placed two male suspects for allegedly breaking into a Watertown home while wearing masks. The two male suspects, a 23-year-old and a 17-year-old, were arrested hours after a home invasion was reported, according to the Watertown Police announcement. “The invasion began after witnesses reported seeing two men wearing ski masks, possibly armed, force their way through the front door of a residence. Thanks to the hard work of our Detectives and the valuable assistance of the Lynn Police Department, both suspects were quickly identified and take into custody,” the announcement said. The statement added: “Our priority remains keeping Watertown safe, and we are grateful for the continued support of our community and our law enforcement partners.”

July 10: A Pleasant Street resident received emails from Best Buy and Target saying that he had signed up for credit cards from the stores, but he had not opened them. Someone purchased Apple Air iPods from a Target in Massachusetts on the card. The resident was able to cancel the cards and is not sure how someone got his information. July 11: A woman was shopping at Target around 8 p.m. on July 10 and placed her phone in the child seat of a shopping carriage when she went through self checkout.

Police Log: Suspect Kicked Officer While Being Arrested, Man Threatened Customer with Piece of Glass

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. June 14: At 2 a.m. Officer Khalil Mafhoum spotted a pickup truck stopped in traffic at Galen Street and Nonantum Road and the driver was asleep behind the wheel. The vehicle was running and the brakes were on. The driver seemed confused when he was awakened and did not know where he was. Police detected a smell of alcohol.

June 6: A package was taken from a home on Oliver Road. FedEx delivered the box containing a 15-inch MacBook computer valued at $1,400 at 2:30 p.m. It was gone when the resident returned home. The report was taken by Officer Sean Bowler. June 6: A shoplifter took five pairs of men’s shoes from Marshalls valued at $250.

April 25: A resident of Stoneleigh Road whose back yard abuts Oakley Country Club’s golf course was in the yard when the resident saw a golfer come up to the fence and began relieving himself. Vines and bushes blocked the man but the resident saw a stream coming into the yard. The resident yelled at the golfer and called the police. The golfer was gone before police arrived.
