
Several students from Watertown earned honors from North Shore Community College, Alabama, and Hoftra. Local students graduated from Hamilton College and Emmanuel College. Also, three Watertown students who attend WPI completed projects.

Honors
North Shore Community College
North Shore Community College is proud to announce its spring 2026 Dean’s List, honoring students who have demonstrated academic distinction. The College supports academic achievement and is pleased to recognize and reward undergraduate students whose performance merits special attention.
Dean’s List Honors are awarded to students who have earned six or more semester hours of academic credit with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.30 or higher.

Avaree Crockton of Watertown was named to The University of Alabama Deans List for Spring Semester 2026.
A total of 14,306 students enrolled during Spring Semester 2026 at The University of Alabama were named to the dean’s list with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the president’s list with an academic record of 4.0 (all A’s).
Hofstra University
Prahlad Peri of Watertown excelled during the spring 2026 semester at Hofstra, achieving a GPA of at least 3.5 to earn a spot on the Dean’s List. Prahlad’s major is Finance.
Graduates
Hamilton College
Taylor Lambo, of Watertown (02472), received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamilton College on Sunday, May 24, in a Commencement ceremony concluding the college’s 2025-26 academic year.
Lambo, a physics major, graduated summa cum laude and was recently elected to the Epsilon Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa.
Emmanuel College
Emmanuel College awarded more than 380 degrees to the Class of 2026 at the College’s 104th Commencement on May 9. The following local students received degrees:
Pierre Paul Labossiere of Watertown received a Bachelor of Arts Psychology – Counseling & Health Psychology
Lena Karaguesian of Watertown received a Bachelor of Science Biology – Health Sciences Summa Cum Laude
Projects
WPI
Worcester Polytechnic Institute students completed a capstone thesis called the Major Qualifying Project (MQP), a research-driven, professional-level project that challenges students to solve the kinds of problems they would typically encounter in their professional discipline. This project is required of all graduating seniors as part of the university’s distinctive project-based educational experience.
The following local students completed projects:
Watertown, Massachusetts resident Aidan Flanagan, class of 2026, majoring in Civil Engineering, completed a project titled “Seismic Design of Cross-Laminated Timber”
Watertown, Massachusetts resident Adam Patterson, class of 2026, majoring in Civil Engineering, completed a project titled “Re-Imagining WPI’s Gordon Library”

Pedro Queiroga da Cunha Nogueira, a member of the class of 2027 majoring in Computer Science at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), was a member of a student team that recently completed a professional-level research-driven project titled “Designing a Four-Story LPG Live Fire Simulator.”
Known as the Interactive Qualifying Project (IQP), this project is a core part of the innovative undergraduate experience at WPI. Centered around project-based learning, this hands-on approach offers students opportunities to help develop thoughtful solutions to open-ended problems.
