Watertown Police Log: Drunken Driver Strikes 3 Cars, Laptop Taken

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department.

Arrests

April 15, 8:59 p.m.: A 52-year-old Watertown man was arrested on charges of simple assault, domestic assault and battery and on two outstanding warrants. He was arrested on Robert Ford Road.

April 16, 4:48 p.m.: A 35-year-old Watertown man was arrested after an incident on Warren Street. He faces charges of domestic assault and battery on a person over age 60.

April 16, 9:55 p.m.: A 32-year-old woman from Malden was arrested at the Charlesbank Residences on Pleasant Street. She faces a charge of simple assault.

April 17, 8:36 p.m.: Security at Target spotted a woman in the clothing section taking items and also took a DVD off the shelf. Then she tried to leave the store with $381.53 worth if merchandise. She was also spotted on a video taking items on April 7. The 50-year-old woman from Waltham faces one charge of shoplifting – a third offense – and one charge of larceny over $250.

April 18, 10:23 p.m.: A car struck three parked cars on California Street, and police identified the driver as a 49-year-old woman from Canton. She was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol.

April 19, 5:18 p.m.: A woman was spotted trying to take numerous items form Target. The 43-year-old Watertown woman faces a charge of shoplifting over $100.

 

Incidents

April 15, 10:28 p.m.: A man reported that a Mac laptop was taken from his car on Jan. 6 while parked at a lot on Arsenal Street. He didn’t think it would be recovered, but then he received an email from Apple saying someone tried to register it, so he filed a police report.

April 15, 2:34 p.m.: Target security spotted a woman swapping price tags on two items, and also place several items under her coat. The 33-year-old woman from Boston will be summonsed to Waltham District Court for shoplifting.

April 18, 8:44 p.m.: A driver making a delivery on Warren Street came back and found the driver-side window broken and his GPS device taken. He was only gone about half an hour.

April 19, 12:23 p.m.: A driver parked on Bigelow Avenue and when the person returned there were several scratches on the driver’s side of the car and on the trunk.

April 19, 12:42 p.m.: Security at Target saw a woman placing items into an Old Navy bag and putting jewelry into her pocketbook. The 52-year-old woman from Winthrop will be summonsed to Waltham District Court.
