Police Log: Shoplifters Busted at Target, Tires Slashed in Watertown

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department:

Arrests

April 21, 5:35 p.m.: A woman was spotted taking numerous clothing items from Target and tried to leave the store. She had $200.49 worth of clothing. Police arrested a 58-year-old Belmont woman on charges of shoplifting over $100.

April 21, 4:48 p.m.: An officer on patrol on Main Street stopped a car and discovered the driver had an outstanding arrest warrant. A 36-year-old Dedham man was arrested on the warrant out of Dedham District Court.

April 22, 10:19 a.m.: A 63-year-old Newton man was arrested on charges of domestic assault and battery, domestic assault and threats to commit a crime. The incident occurred on Conant Road.

April 24, 10:28 a.m.: Police stopped a driver on Belmont Street and found that the man had an outstanding warrant. The 34-year-old Watertown man was arrested on the warrant from Cambridge District Court for traffic offenses.

April 25, 6:14 p.m.: A woman came into Target with four children and was seen taking food and clothing items and attempt to leave the store. Police found $72.11 in items plus items that were allegedly taken from Carter’s. A 42-year-old woman from Allston was arrested on two counts of shoplifting.

April 26, 6:56 p.m.: Target security observed a woman take two purses and several clothing items and put them in a bag before attempting to leave the store. The merchandise was worth $407.56. The 43-year-old Brighton woman was arrested on a charge of larceny over $250.

April 27, 8:07 p.m.: Police arrested a 41-year-old Watertown for domestic assault and battery after an incident on Pleasant Street.

 

Incident

April 21, 8:05 a.m.: A woman reported that she had several packages stolen from the front foyer of the Charles Bank Apartments over the past 9 months.

April 24, 7:09 p.m.: Target security caught three juveniles each trying to take a T-shirt and leave the store without paying. The store called the parents of the two 12-year-olds and one 11-year-old from Cambridge and will handle the incident internally.

April 25, 4:03 p.m.: A man went to workout at Boston Sports Club and and left his wallet with cash inside in an unlocked locker. When he came back after working out the cash was missing.

April 26, 9:33 a.m.: Someone went into a shed on Brookline Street overnight and took a power washer worth $350.

April 26, 5:19 p.m.: A tire was slashed on a car parked on Berkeley Street.

April 26, 5:43 p.m.: A man went into Best Buy and took an item, place it in a bag and tried to leave the store without paying. Store security grabbed the bag, but the suspect ran to a dark brown or gold colored older model sedan which left heading toward Brighton. The man was described as a white male, age 30-40, thin build, 6-foot-3, wearing dark colored hat, and hooded sweatshirt.

April 27, 8:43 p.m.: A car on Prospect Street had two tires punctured.

April 27, 11:27 a.m.: A shoplifter at Best Buy took 20-30 video games and fled the store heading toward Brighton. The suspect was described as a white male in his early 20s, wearing blue jeans and a grey sweatshirt.

April 27, 5:46 p.m.: A car had its tire slashed while parked on Warren Street.
