The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department.

Arrests

April 29, 9:35 a.m.: Police went to Boylston Street to arrest a 49-year-old Watertown man on a bench warrant.

April 30, 6:18 p.m.: Target security spotted a man taking a cell phone and leave the store. Police located the man and found a phone worth $234.99. The 23-year-old Fall River man was arrested on a charge of shoplifting of over $100.

May 1, 10:42 a.m.: A woman was spotted taking several items off the shelf at Target, then take a tote bag off the shelf. Then she went to the back of the store, put the items in the tote bag and carried them out of the store. The items were worth $311.59. The 36-year-old Brookline woman was arrested on a charge of shoplifting over $100.

May 3, 2:41 a.m.: An officer spotted a Volkswagen parked in a lot on Main Street with its lights on and when he investigated he found the driver asleep at the wheel with the engine running. An odor of alcohol was detected and field sobriety tests were conducted. A 25-year-old Waltham man was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol.

May 4, 12:52 a.m.: Police were called to Halfway Cafe for a hit-and-run incident in the parking lot. A man came into the restaurant asking for a woman. He was convinced to leave, and when he got into his red pickup truck he gunned the motor and struck the car owned by the woman he was looking for as well as a second vehicle. Significant damage was done to both vehicles. The man later threatening text to a witness. The man turned himself in at the Watertown Police Station. The 25-year-old Watertown man faces charges of malicious destruction of property over $250, reckless driving, leaving the scene of property damage and threatening to commit a crime.

 

Incidents

April 28, 7:01 p.m.: All four hubcaps were stolen from a parked on North Beacon Street near the Toyota dealership.

April 29, 3:46 a.m.: Brookline Police stopped a man driving a car that was taken from Lexus of Watertown. The man took the car from the dealership.

April 29, 1:17 p.m.: A woman was spotted putting items into a bag from Target and try to leave the store. The merchandise was worth $92.62. The 42-year-old Watertown woman will be summonsed to Waltham District Court for shoplifting.

May 1, 6:22 p.m.: The owner of a 2003 BMW parked in a driveway on Kondazian Street and came out to find that an object struck the rear window and broke it.

May 2, 7 p.m.: A stroller was taken from a driveway on Hillside Road. A iPhone 5S was left in the stroller and also went missing.

May 3, 6:42 p.m.: A customer at Panera Bread got up and left her purse behind. When she returned it was missing.

May 4, 1:25 p.m.: The door of a truck was scratched while parked in the lot behind Home Depot.
