A Funeral Mass for Mary C. (Whyte) Sullivan will be celebrated on Monday June 9, 2014 in the Church of St. Patrick, Watertown at 9 a.m.

Mrs. Sullivan was born in Waltham, a daughter of the late John P. & Mary C. (Bowes) Whyte. Mary was born and raised and spent 50 years in Watertown. She graduated from Watertown Hugh School, Class of 1959.

Mary worked at Verona Restaurant for years as well as for FEMA for 25 years and worked tirelessly and was extremely instrumental in the passing of the 1984 Anti-Hazing law in Massachusetts. She had a large family of cousins and nieces and nephews and enjoyed being with her family all the time.

Mary leaves her beloved husband of 19 years Don Sullivan. She was the loving mother of Mary Beirne and husband Mike Beirne of Dorchester, John Lenaghan of Dorchester, Brian Lenaghan and his wife Michelle of Pembroke, and the late Jay Lenaghan. She is survived by 7 grandchildren Jay Lenaghan, Lexi Lenaghan, Duke Lenaghan, Olivia

Lenaghan, Morgan Beirne, Bailey Beirne, and Erin Beirne. She is also survived by her siblings Peggy Kearsley, Cathy Collins, Joan Roy, John Whyte and the late Bill Whyte.

Funeral from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, 270 Main St., Watertown Monday at 8 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St Patrick’s Church, 212 Main Street, Watertown at 9 a.m. Relatives & friends are kindly invited.

Visiting hours Sunday 4-7 p.m.

Burial in Ridgelawn Cemetery.
