A Funeral Mass for Gerald Raymond Boudreau, 69, will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown.

Mr. Boudreau, a son of the late Joseph R. and Gertrude M. (Poitras) Boudreau, was born in Waltham. He was a lifelong Watertown resident and a graduate of Saint Patrick High School, Watertown. Afterwards he graduated from Northeast Institute of Technology with a concentration in Heating and Refrigeration. In addition Mr. Boudreau studied for 5 years at the Pipefitters Union trade school. He was a member of the Pipefitters Union, Local 537, Boston, and a retired Master Pipefitter.

Mr. Boudreau was a member and Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Council 155, in Watertown and a member of the David I. Walsh Assembly, Knights of Columbus, Fourth Degree. For many years he played Santa Claus at the children’s Christmas parties for the Knights and also at the Fernald School. For relaxation, he enjoyed many years on Cape Cod.

Mr. Boudreau had served in the US Army National Guard and throughout the years served on all the reunion committees for the Class of 1963 from Saint Patrick High School. He died on Thursday, June 19, 2014, surrounded by family, in the North Shore Medical Center-Salem Hospital after a sudden illness.

He was the beloved husband for 43 years of Mary E. (Heffernan) Boudreau; devoted father of Judith A. James and her husband Christopher James of Londonderry, NH, Jeanne M. Burhoe and her husband John Burhoe of Holliston and Raymond J. Boudreau of Watertown; dear brother of Carol J. Hayes and her late husband James Hayes of Lexington, Diane G. Bemis and her husband Robert Bemis of Natick and the late David J. Boudreau and his surviving wife Faith Boudreau formerly of Waltham; loving grandfather of Jonathan F. James, Elizabeth M. James and Evan J. Burhoe. He was also loved by many nieces and nephews.

The Funeral will be from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St., on Rte. 20, Watertown, on Tuesday at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 AM in the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown.

Interment will be in Saint Patrick Cemetery, Watertown. Visiting hours will be on Monday, June 23 from 3-8 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave., Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451-8750.
