Police Log: Pair Nabbed at Target for Shoplifting, Home Broken Into and More

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department.

Arrests

July 28, 4:20 p.m.: A man turned himself in at the Watertown Police Department. The 29-year-old Watertown man was arrested on a warrant from Chelsea District Court for probation violation.

July 29, 4:07 p.m.: Police received word of a man at the Cortiva Institute who had a warrant for his arrest. The 28-year-old Boston man was arrested on the warrant from Brighton District Court for assault and battery.

July 29, 5:23 p.m.: A 24-year-old man from Somerville was arrested on Robert Ford Road on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

July 29, 6:04 p.m.: An officer stopped a car on Mt. Auburn Street and found the driver had a suspended license and two warrants. The 22-year-old Cambridge man was arrested for unlicensed driving and two warrants – one from Somerville District Court and one from Cambridge District Court, both for traffic offenses.

July 29, 6:14 p.m.: A 22-year-old Watertown woman was arrested on Copeland Street on charges of domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon – a ketchup bottle.

Aug. 1, 12:13 a.m.: A 20-year-old Topsfield woman was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery on Franklin Street.

Aug. 1, 1:28 a.m.: A 56-year-old Delray Beach, Fla., man was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery at the Super 8 Motel.

Aug. 1, 10:38 p.m.: A man was spotted acting suspiciously in a parking lot in a parking lot on Main Street. The 58-year-old Cambridge man was arrested on two warrants – one from Boston District Court and one from Woburn District Court.

Aug. 2, 12:05 a.m.: A 21-year-old woman from Everett was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon – a knife, on Marlboro Terrace.

Aug. 2, 5:27 a.m.: Watertown Police assisted Newton Police, who were searching for a three individuals involved in a domestic dispute. They were located on Watertown Street and police found one had a warrant. A 31-year-old Dorchester man was arrested on a warrant from Lowell District Court for failing to show up for jury duty.

Aug. 3, 6:43 p.m.: A 39-year-old Watertown man was arrested for domestic assault and battery on Winsor Avenue.

Incidents

July 30, 7:44 p.m.: Somebody broke the glass in a basement door at a home on Rose Avenue and entered the apartment. The apartment was rummaged through but nothing appeared to be missing.

Aug. 1, 10:48 a.m.: A purse was taken from the seat of a car on Galen Street sometime between 3:30 p.m. on July 31 and 9 a.m. on Aug. 1. The purse contained credit cards, a license and personal items.

Aug. 2, 4:25 p.m.: A group of boys went to Arsenal Park and left their bikes near the front entrance while they went to play in the park. When they came back the three mountain bikes were gone. They were left unlocked.

Aug. 2, 8:49 p.m.: A man and a woman were spotted in Target taking various clothing items and put them into a Footlocker bag. They were caught with $224.82 of merchandise. A 22-year-old woman from Waltham and a 28-year-old man from Waltham will both be summonsed to Waltham District Court on charges of shoplifting.
