Police Log: Ex-Employee Steals Wallet, Cars Vandalized

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department.

Incidents

Aug. 19, 4:19 p.m.: A cell phone was stolen from a vehicle parked in the Home Depot parking lot. There were no signs of forced entry.

Aug. 20, 6:37 p.m.: A car window was broken while it was parked in a driveway on Brigham Street. Nothing was taken from the car.

Aug. 22, 12:05 p.m.: A man reported that someone had stolen his wallet. He had been at a work site on Hearn Street when an ex-employee showed up. When the man returned to his vehicle later he discovered his wallet was missing. The wallet had cash and a check inside. Police investigated and got a warrant for a 26-year-old man from Ashburnham for breaking and entering a motor vehicle and two counts of larceny over $250.

Aug. 24, 10:14 a.m.: A car parked on School Street had a window shattered by a BB or small pellet.

Aug. 24, 1:06 p.m.: A Lowell Street resident returned from vacation and noticed that a screen had been cut and a deadbolt on a door was tampered with, but entry was not gained.
