Beatrice Kelly, formerly of Watertown.

Beatrice (Martel) Kelly passed away on Monday evening at the age of 101.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014 at 9 a.m. Mrs. Kelly passed away in the Maristhill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Waltham surrounded by family.

A daughter of the late Joseph & Jennie (Terrio) Martel, born in Newmarket, N.H., and grew up in Newton where she went to Newton schools. In 1933 she married her husband George and lived in Brighton before moving to Watertown where she lived for 64 years and raised five children. She move to Lexington from 2005-2008 and Waltham until she passed. Beatrice loved needlework, sewing, crocheting and crafts clubs.

She was the beloved wife of the late George A. Kelly. Devoted mother of Jean B. Papelian & her husband Roger of Milford, Joan M. Demoy & her husband John of Lexington, George A. Kelly , Jr. & his wife Valerie of Waltham, Robert F. Kelly & his wife Irene of Dover and the late John J. Kelly & his late wife Joan. Dear sister of the late Arthur J. Martel, Medora Salvucci and M. Jane Grimes. Loving grandmother of 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren & 4 great-great grandchildren. Also survived by one niece and three nephews.

Funeral from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, 270 Main St., Watertown Saturday at 8 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown at 9 AM. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 p.m. Relatives & friends kindly invite.

Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Watertown. Memorials in Beatrice’s memory made be made to the Marist Hill Activity Fund c/o Maristhill Nursing & Rehabilitation, 66 Newton St., Waltham, MA 02453.
