Medford Woman Arrested After Shoplifting Spree

Police arrested a woman who allegedly went on a shoplifting spree of four stores in two malls in Watertown.

Target security called the police on Aug. 26 at 1:27 p.m. after they stopped a woman who had allegedly tried to take some clothing by concealing them.

The total value of the clothing from Target was $176.98, said Watertown Police Sgt. Thomas Grady. They also found items Old Navy, The Gap, Famous Footwear and Marshall’s – all located across the street from Target in the Arsenal Project.

Police investigated further and found that she had taken more than $350 in merchandise from those four stores at the Arsenal Project.

Jennifer Marie Mastrangelo, 26, of Medford, was arrested on one count of shoplifting by concealing merchandise, and four counts of receiving stolen property, Grady said.
