Police Log: Man Arrested for OUI and Leaving Scene of Accident

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department.

Arrests

April 24, 6:26 a.m.: Police served a warrant from Middlesex Juvenile Court on a 14-year-old boy from Watertown for threatening to commit a crime.

April 26, 11:37 p.m.: A Grandview Avenue heard a crash and looked out to see a black sedan leaving the are after hitting a parked car. Police found the driver side of the parked car heavily damaged. Several minutes later a car was found in a driveway on King Street with heavy passenger side damage and the engine was still warm. An odor of alcohol was detected on the owner’s breath. The man became uncooperative, began yelling and screaming and would not calm down. While he was being booked at the Police Station he punched a glass barrier and cracked it. The man was for driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of property damage and malicious destruction of property.

Incidents

April 24, 4:08 p.m.: A man reported his car had been stolen. He met an acquaintance at Main and Cross streets to buy some marijuana the previous day. He did not have money so he lent the man his car. The man had not returned the car by the following day. The car was recovered on April 28 when Revere Police stopped the vehicle.

April 26, 12:45 p.m.: A woman went shopping at Russo’s and when she came out she found a scratch down the side of the car.
