About Silent Mora
Ray Goulet Ring 122 of the International Brotherhood of Magicians Silent Mora was a famous magician who lived and died in Boston in the last century. He performed one of the finest sleight-of-hand acts and used only mime to communicate to the audience. Each chapter of the IBM is called a Ring. Ring 122 was founded in 1952 by magic enthusiasts and professional performers from Watertown and Newton.
It was named in honor of Mora and continues to spread astonishment, laughter, and wonder in his name. Watertown’s own Ray Goulet, a founding member of Ring 122, is a professional magician, magic collector, and local business owner who, with his wife Anne, have helped many discover the joy of magic. They are both lifetime residents of Watertown. Ray’s name was added to Mora’s in 2014 in recognition of all his efforts on behalf of Ring 122 and magic overall.
