Cartoonist and cable TV host Fred Grandinetti recently put on a workshop to show people how to draw some of his favorite characters.

Grandinetti has hosted a program on Watertown Cable Access program where he can show some of his favorite cartoons, including Popeye, and has added public service announcements on subjects such as health, fitness and water safety (read more here).

Recently two “Drawing With Fred” workshops were held at The Arsenal Project as part of The Watertown Art Association 2015 Annual Exhibit.

People of all ages learned how to draw Popeye, Wimpy, Olive Oyl, Bluto and one of Popeye’s nephews, said Grandinetti.

Drawing With Fred can be seen on The Watertown Community Access Channel and is produced by Grandinetti. He has written five books related to the cartoon sailor and articles on subjects such as The Avengers, I Dream of Jeannie, Bozo the Clown and the original Batwoman and Catwoman.
