Watertown’s Brad Peloquin will play one of the featured roles in the upcoming production of Guys and Dolls. 

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston will open its 47th consecutive summer season with the Broadway favorite, Guys and Dolls, from June 11-21, 2015 at the Robinson Theatre (617 Lexington St. Waltham, MA, 02452).

Set in Damon Runyon’s jubilant, shimmering New York City, this Tony Award-winning musical about gangsters, showgirls, and mission workers will feature Brad Peloquin in the comedic role of “Nicely-Nicely Johnson”, a small time gambler who is one of Nathan Detroit’s closest associates.

The role of Nathan Detroit will be played by Newsman/Actor Scott Wahle. Individual tickets range from $35 to $63; season subscriptions and group tickets are available at a discount. Tickets can be purchased at www.reaglemusictheatre.com, by calling 781-891-5600, or at the theater box office.

Guys and Dolls won five Tony Awards including “Best Musical” when it premiered on Broadway in 1950. Guys and Dolls features some of Frank Loesser’s most memorable songs, including “Adelaide’s Lament,” “I’ve Never Been in Love Before,” “Sit Down You’re Rocking the Boat,” and the classic “Luck be a Lady.”

The 1992 production won a Tony for Best Revival, and its cast album was awarded the Grammy. The critically acclaimed 1955 film version featured Marlon Brando, Vivian Blaine, Frank Sinatra and Jean Simmons. Guys and Dolls, a musical fable of Broadway, is based on a story and characters of Damon Runyon; Music and Lyrics by Frank Loesser, Book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. Guys and Dolls is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).

Scott Wahle as Nathan Detroit – The Hingham native has thirty-plus years’ experience as a stage and screen actor, on-camera news and sports broadcaster, talk show host, emcee, play-by-play announcer and industrials spokesperson. He has been performing with Reagle Music Theatre since 2001, when he took on the role of John Adams in 1776 (I.R.N.E. nomination, Best Actor). Also with Reagle: The Music Man, (Harold Hill – 2004 I.R.N.E. award/Best Actor), Fiddler on the Roof(Tevye), The Will Rogers Follies (Will Rogers), Annie (F.D.R.), and Into the Woods (Narrator/Mysterious Man). Film: Knight and Day, The Makeover, Ted 2, Black Mass, Bleed For This, Odyssey (NBC TV pilot). Scott has sung on The Rosie O’Donnell Show, performed with the Boston Pops, and sung the National Anthem for the Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics and Patriots. Wahle was a broadcast reporter/anchor at WBZ-TV for 20 years.

Reagle’s 47th summer season will also feature Kiss Me, Kate,​ starring Broadway couple Sarah Pfisterer and Rick Hilsabeck from July 9-19, and Wonderful Town, starring Katie Anne Clark and Jennifer Ellis from August 6-16.

Single adult tickets for each production in Reagle’s 47th Summer Season are $35-$63. Seniors 55 or older receive $3 off adult prices. Tickets for youths 5-18 are $25, any section. Patrons may see all three shows for under $100 by purchasing a full-season subscription at 25 percent off; packages start as low as $78.
