Police Log: Car and Motorcycle Stolen, Group Missing 43 iPhones

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. 

Arrests

Aug. 12, 10:34 p.m.: Officers were on Patten Street looking for a suspect in a different investigation when they stopped a black truck. They found the driver had a revoked license. They also discovered that the female passenger had a warrant for her arrest. The driver, a 33-year-old man from Taunton, was arrested on a charge of driving with a revoked license. The passenger, a 26-year-old woman from Taunton, was arrested on the warrant from Brockton District Court for assault and battery.

Aug. 13, 8:08 a.m.: Police on Bigelow Avenue spotted a man who they had knowledge was wanted on a warrant. The 48-year-old Watertown man was arrested on the warrant from Cambridge District Court for attempting to commit a crime.

Incidents

Aug. 11, 2:57 p.m.: A Main Street resident came home and found that the rear door had been pried open and the deadbolt on an upstairs bedroom was on the floor. A security safe was taken from the home.

Aug. 11, 10:17 p.m.: A woman reported she received a package on July 22 that should have contained an iPad 3 Mini, but when she opened it there was nothing inside.

Aug. 12, 7:28 p.m.: A Repton Place resident parked his 2012 Yamaha R6 motorcycle on Aug. 11, and came out the following day and found it was gone. Police are investigating.

Aug. 13, 12:47 p.m.: The manager of IT services at Harvard Business Publishing reported that he discovered that 43 iPhones could not be found and are believed to be missing.

Aug. 13, 2:15 p.m.: Someone broke into a Lovell Road home and took a jar of money and two rings from an upstairs bedroom. There were no signs of forced entry. Police are investigating.

Aug. 13, 4:49 p.m.: A car left in the Oakley Country Club parking lot overnight was broken into and a Garmin GPS and a ThinkPad laptop computer were taken. There were no signs of forced entry.

Aug. 15, 11:40 a.m.: A paintball was shot at a window of a home on Philip Darch Road.

Aug. 16, 2:50 p.m.: A car was stolen from a parking lot of an apartment building on Carey Avenue. The 2007 Honda CR-V was parked there at 10 p.m. the previous evening and when the owner went out the next day it was missing. Police are investigating.
