OBIT: Margaret ‘Terry’ Sallese, 93, Grew up in Belmont, Moved to Weston

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown on Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, for Margaret T. “Terry” (Griffin) Sallese at 11 a.m.

Mrs. Sallese, a daughter of the late Timothy and Delia (Murphy) Griffin, passed away in the Mary Ann Morse Nursing & Rehab Center, Natick after a period of declining health. She was 93.

Born in Waltham, she grew up in Belmont, graduating from Belmont High School, Class of 1940. She married her husband Tony and they moved to Weston. Along with raising her own three children, she also took in foster children along with Tony. She was married to Tony for over forty years until his passing, and spent 20 years with her companion, the late Richard Sarra.

Terry loved to travel, she was an avid dancer, she loved all kinds of music from Glenn Miller to rock. Terry loved to paint, especially in pastels, she was kind and caring. She had a love of life, with her grandchildren at the top of the list.

She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Sallese. Devoted mother of Michael P. Sallese of Wakefield, the late Patricia M. Troy and her surviving husband Robert o Framingham and Deborah E. Lowe and her husband Jeffery of Hudson. Loving grandmother of Matthew, Patrick and Zachary Sallese and Brad & Caitlin Lowe. Long time companion of the late Richard Sarra.

Funeral from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown on Monday November 23, 2015 at 10:00 AM, followed by Funeral

Mass in the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown at 11 a.m.

Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Sunday 2-5 p.m.

Interment at St. Patrick Cemetery.

  1. My Mom ( Mary Gallagher) and yours were good friends from the olden days. Your Mom was kind and told it like it was. I’m so sorry for your heartache. Just saw this so forgive us for not being there,. God Bless. Remember the dolls and keep the faith.
