Caterpillars
The Watertown Mall hosts The Caterpillar Lab presenting “Caterpillars” on Saturday, Oct. 8 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Come meet hundreds of native New England caterpillars at the Watertown Mall!
Engaging educators from The Caterpillar Lab will be here to tell you all about dozens of species you never knew might be hiding in your own backyard or nearby park. Their creatures will include unique and exciting fall species. You’ll meet strange and surprising slug caterpillars, camouflaged prominent that blend perfectly into leaf edges, various species preparing to pupate for the cold months, and more! Be sure to save the date for this unique exhibition! This Event is FREE and will take place near Carter’s at the Watertown Mall, 550 Arsenal Street, Watertown!
Scarecrows
The 25th Annual Scarecrow Contest will kick off the Autumn Fun on October 17, 2016.
Individuals, families, groups, schools, classes, businesses and organizations were invited to enter a scarecrow in the contest. Scarecrows will be display in the Watertown Mall. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite scarecrow to determine the winning entries!
Halloween Fun
On Friday October 14, 2016 Join the Watertown Family Network for a special Halloween event!
Inviting all tiny tots and their caregivers to celebrate the magic of this colorful season with stories, songs, crafts and surprises! Enjoy the crisp fall weather with your favorite little one at this FREE seasonal event. This event will take place near Carter’s.
Mask Making
On Tuesday, October 25, 2016, the Museum of Fine Arts’ Artful Adventures program is coming to the Watertown mall to host a Mask Making Event. The event will run from 1-4 p.m. and will showcase masks from all over the world, and children will have an opportunity to make their own masks for your Halloween costume or just for fun! All ages are welcome to come learn and create a mask from the talented MFA instructors. This event will take place near Carters.
Costumes and Trick-or-Treating
The Watertown Mall wraps up its October festivities with a Costume Contest and Trick-or-Treating on Monday, October 31, 2016. The Costume Contest will start promptly at 4 p.m. and winners will be chosen by 4:30 p.m. Children ages 0-12 years are invited to enter for a chance to win a Watertown Mall gift certificate! Entry is free, and the costumes will be judged in three age categories.
This event will take place near Carters.
After the contest, join us from 4-7 p.m. around the mall for trick-or- treating in participating stores!
