Watertown’s Golfsmith store will be closing its doors and currently has a big sale going on.
According to the Golfsmith website merchandise is being discounted up to 30 percent. The Watertown store is located in the Arsenal Project, 615 Arsenal St.
Fifty-nine of the Golfsmith locations across the country will be closing. One Massachusetts location, in Reading, will be among the 30 to remain open.
According to a story on Nasdaq Globe Newswire, the company stopped accepting gift cards and merchandise credit on Nov. 11.
Store fixtures and equipment will also be for sale closing locations, according to the story.
The Golfsmith website also has information about personally identifiable information that has been collected by Golfsmith. The information will be transferred to Dicks Sporting Goods, which has agreed to be bound by the Golfsmith’s privacy policy. Read more here.
