Final Meeting on Mt. Auburn Corridor Study Coming Up Soon

The final public meeting for the State’s study of the Mount Auburn Corridor will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 31.

The Mass. Department of Conservation and Recreation is studying the area of Mt. Auburn Street and Fresh Pond Parkway in Cambridge, near the Watertown line.

Proposed plans could reduce the number of of public street parking near Star Market on Mt. Auburn Street. The planning also touches on travel lanes, bike lanes, bus lanes, improved pedestrian crossings, traffic signals, and more.

The meeting will be held Jan. 31 from 6-8 p.m. at the Shady Hill School Assembly Hall, 56 Coolidge Ave. in Cambridge (an extension of Coolidge Ave. in Watertown).
