A new show debuted on Watertown Cable on Thursday called Inside Watertown hosted by longtime local business and community leader Paul Airasian and your’s truly, Charlie Breitrose, editor of Watertown News.

Paul and I have worked together a number of times beginning when I was editor of Watertown Patch and he was hosting Watertown Business Report on WCA-TV. That collaboration has continued, most recently when I helped in the offices of the Watertown-Belmont Chamber of Commerce during Paul’s time as executive director.

When he moved on from the chamber, we looked around for other ways to work together and he came up with the idea of a local cable show. I had been a guest on Paul’s previous show, but we wanted to look at Watertown from a broader perspective.

Each month on Inside Watertown we will put a spotlight on organizations and groups doing good work in Watertown.

Our first episode featured four guests, who shared what their organizations have been doing in Watertown: Cathy Berkley, executive director of the Watertown Community Foundation; Amy Donohue, co-president of the Watertown Education Foundation; Lisa Keuchkarian-McKeen, board member of Belmont-Watertown Local First; and Christopher McKenzie, board member of Watertown Cable Access Corp.

Inside Watertown can be viewed anytime on the WCA-TV website (click here and look for Inside Watertown under “Recent”).

The show again will air on the Public Channel at 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 29. You can also check the schedule on the WCA-TV website.

If you know of a local organization that deserves being featured on Inside Watertown, please send it to Charlie Breitrose at watertownmanews@gmail.com or Paul Airasian at airasian24@yahoo.com.
