Watertown junior sprinter Mange Camara ran against the best high school competition Saturday in the All-State Meet and showed he was among the elite.

In the 55-meter dash Camara got to the finals at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center. He ran a 6.65, which got him eight place. He was a little off his personal best and school record time of 6.58, last week at the Div. 5 Meet.

His indoor specialty is the 300 meters, and Saturday Camara came in third place with a time of 34.85, just under 2 tenths below his best time set last week.

Also competing Saturday was the boys 4 x 400 relay. The team of  senior Gus Brouillard, Camara, junior Nathan Follett and senior Ben Landry finished 13th with a time of 3:31.39 – an improvement of more than a second from last week’s Div. 5 meet.

Camara has qualified to compete in the New England Championships in Boston on March 3, as well as the New Balance Indoor Nationals in New York City on March 9-11.
