Most government offices, retail stores and restaurants will be closed on Christmas Day. A few will remain open, at least part of the day.

Government

State and Federal offices: Closed

Town Hall: Closed

Library: Closed

Senior Center: Closed

Post Office: Closed

Mass. RMV: Closed

Retailers

Most will be closed, but can be open at owner’s discretion.

Liquor Stores: Closed

CVS will be open on Christmas: Watertown Square location will be open 24 hours, the Watertown Street and Mt. Auburn Street locations are open 10 a.m to 8 p.m. (pharmacy will be closed), and the one in Target will be closed.

Most 7-Elevens will be open 24 hours on Christmas

Restaurants

Most will be closed, but can be open at owner’s discretion.

Starbucks in Watertown Square will be open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The one on Galen Street will be closed.

Some Dunkin‘ locations will be open on Christmas. Information on which ones was not available on the Dunkin’ website.

Watertown’s newest restaurant, Joyful Garden, will be open on Christmas Day if you want some Chinese food.
