The latest episode of Inside Watertown tackles of the subject of scams, many of which are aimed at older members of our community.

Members of the Watertown Police Department and Senior Center Director Ann-Marie Gagnon spoke with co-hosts Charlie Breitrose and Bob Airasian during the episode of the Watertown Cable show.

Gagnon said she has heard more conversations at the Senior Center about people being scammed or worried about becoming a victim. The Senior Center and the Police Department have been working together to get word out to people about the scams.

Detective Patty Grady and Lt. James O’Connor said the Watertown Police have seen an increase in the number scams, and they shared examples of what seniors should look out for and how to avoid scams. They added that it is important for people to come forward if they have been the victim of a scam.
