Companies with five or fewer employees can still take advantage of the microenterprise grants that were adversely impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak.

A second round of grants has been announced by the Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation (MGCC). Applications will be accepted from Oct. 2 to Oct. 23 at 5 p.m. Funds from the Community Development Block Grant COVID-19 (CDBG-CV) program will be given to to 23 municipalities — including Watertown — for microenterprise assistance.

Grants will be awarded in increments of $5,000, $7,000 and $10,000. Priority will be given to minority status owned business (Minority, Women, Veteran, Disability, LBGTQ+).
