As our season of hot weather gets longer each year, I wonder why the pool opens so late in the summer and closes so early, well before fall. I’m sure that it must cost a great deal to operate the pool, but I would like to know if these costs are the reason for the short season and if there is some way to raise the money to keep kids – and adults – cool longer.
It’s too bad the pool closed so early. With the excessive heat this week it would have been a nice relief for those needing to cool down. Why don’t we leave it open until the end of August each year?
