Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023, is Giving Tuesday. Here are some ideas for places in Watertown to support.

Watertown Boy’s & Girls Club serves hundreds of children across the community. It also provides swim lessons and hosts some of the Cops and Rec programs with the Watertown Police and the Watertown Recreation Department. To donate to the Watertown Boy’s & Girl’s Club Giving Tuesday campaign which seeks funds for gym equipment, click here.

The Watertown Community Foundation awards grants for educational programs, health programs, revitalization of the riverfront, and provides emergency assistance for families in crisis. Click here

The Dorothy and Charles Mosesian Center for the Arts, formerly the Arsenal Center for the Arts, brings dynamic theatre, inspirational art classes, visual art exhibitions, and diverse musical performances as well as subsidize programming for local seniors and underserved youth. Donations of $25 or more automatically enroll you in the center’s membership program.

The members of the Historical Society of Watertown believes that a sense of history is fundamental to understanding human experience, collects, preserves, and shares materials from Watertown’s past, so that present and future generations can comprehend more fully their predecessors, their community, and themselves. The Society’s headquarters is one of the oldest homes in Watertown, the Edmund Fowle House. The Historical Society is raising money to do maintenance on the 250-year-old house on Marshall Street.   1. Please consider supporting the Watertown Community Fridge, located just outside the Belmont-Watertown United Methodist Church, 80 Mt. Auburn St., Watertown. The Fridge is operated entirely by volunteers, and provides free, nutritious food to anyone in need, 24/7. The Fridge gratefully accepts donations of food and money to purchase food.
