A Mass of Christian Burial for Emma Florence (D’Amico) Gaeta will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM in St. Patrick Church, Watertown.

Emma was born and raised in Watertown, Massachusetts, to the late Francesco and Teresa (Zaccagnini) D’Amico. A proud lifelong resident of Watertown, she passed away peacefully,
surrounded by her loving family, on June 8, 2025, at the age of 95.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Anthony Gaeta, with whom she shared 51 wonderful years of marriage. Emma was the loving mother of Debra Boyce and her partner Charles Morrill, and the cherished grandmother of Jena Boyce. She was a devoted mother-in-law to the late Thomas Boyce.

Emma was the dear sister of the late Peter Phillip D’Amico, John A. D’Amico, Loretta Dunn, and Barbara Howe. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Emma took pride in her work. She was a dedicated presser at Lewandos for 40 years before joining the team at Watertown High School, where she became head of the cafeteria. Known for always having a smile on her face, she found joy in feeding the students and staff—often becoming a warm and familiar presence to generations of local families.

Emma loved her family deeply and filled her home with warmth and hospitality. She enjoyed cooking delicious meals, tending her garden, and cheering on her beloved Boston Red Sox. She was always up for a good chat and spent many happy hours talking on the phone with her treasured friends.

Funeral from the MacDonald Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St., Watertown, on Saturday, June 14, at 9 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4–7 PM. Interment at Ridgelawn Cemetery.

Emma’s legacy of love, laughter, and service will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
