The following announcement was provided by the Watertown Housing Authority:

The Watertown Housing Authority (WHA) Resident Services Department proudly hosted its annual resource fair, now renamed as “Community Day at WHA.” This much-anticipated event brings together WHA residents and the broader community by connecting families to important local, regional, and state resources — right in their own neighborhood.

Over 150 residents and neighbors joined in the celebration, which featured a wide range of community partners, including MassHire, LiveWell & Farmers Market, the City’s 311 and Recreation Departments, Watertown Boys & Girls Club, Wayside Multi-Service Center, and the Watertown Family Network. These organizations provided information, tools, and opportunities to support resident well-being and strengthen community ties.

This year’s event was made even more special thanks to the generosity of Donohue’s Bar & Grill, which donated delicious wraps for all residents to enjoy. Their contribution was a standout part of the day and reflected the incredible support WHA receives from the broader Watertown community. In addition to Donohue’s, attendees were treated to food from Fordee’s Falafel and our local Ben & Jerry’s, while WHA staff served grilled hot dogs and snacks made possible by a donation from the Watertown Housing Development Corporation.

A visit from the Watertown Police and Fire Departments, featuring their beloved canine Wyatt, was a favorite moment for many families. The event also included raffles with prizes such as toys
and Market Basket gift cards, adding excitement and fun to the celebration.

The Resident Services Department (RSD) played a vital role in organizing the event, coordinating
vendors, businesses, and essential services to ensure residents had meaningful opportunities to
connect and thrive. Their dedication created an inclusive and welcoming space where families
could engage, learn, and celebrate.

The Watertown Housing Authority is deeply grateful to the RSD team and to generous community partners like Donohue’s for making Community Day such a success. WHA looks forward to continuing its mission to enrich the lives of the families it serves.
