The following announcement was provided by the Recreation Department:
Top seeded New Day and third seeded Zards take a 1-0 series advantage in a best-of-three 2025 Papas Elite semifinals.
Led by Jamari Robinson’s 17-point night, New Day edged out fourth seed Donohue’s Kaos Club by a score of 51-46. Akeem Williams followed up Robinson netting 11 points. Bo Brace led Donohue’s with a total of 12 points.
In the second semifinal game of the night, Joey Flannery’s 20-point night lifted the Zards over the second seeded Beavers. Sam Longwell followed up with 11 points while Tyler Lauder, Timmy Mulvey and Timmy O’Toole all dropped 14 points for the Beavers.
UP NEXT
New Day and the Zards will look to close out the semifinals on Monday night August 11 with the New Day-Donohue’s at 7 p.m. before Zards-Beavers tip off at 8 p.m.
