Busty was best known in the community as the proud founder of Santoro’s Service Center, which he opened in 1967. With a wrench in hand and a heart of gold, Busty built more than a business — he built a trusted cornerstone of the neighborhood that served generations of families with honesty, integrity, and genuine care.
Busty will always be remember as a devoted New England Patriots fan, but nothing meant more to him than the bond he shared with his brothers and sisters at the Sons of Italy. He was a dedicated member as he served in many officer roles over the years, including the honored title of Master of Ceremonies. He was a familiar face at Bingo nights, Las Vegas nights, whist games, and bocce tournaments, always bringing humor, warmth, and a competitive spirit. Busty’s love for community extended to the lanes as a longtime participant in the bowling league, where his camaraderie was matched only by his passion for the game. Busty lived a life rich with purpose, friendship, and service.
He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, community involvement, and heartfelt connections. His stories, laughter, and larger-than-life presence will be deeply missed.
Family and friends are welcome to come celebrate Busty’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main St. Watertown on Thursday, Sept. 11 from 4 – 7 PM and again on Friday, Sept 12 at 11 AM followed by a 12 noon Funeral Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, 212 Main St. Watertown.
