The developers of a project at 72 Mt. Auburn St. will host a public meeting on Sept. 16, 2025. See details in the announcement below.

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Petitioner will be holding a Public Information Meeting as required by the Watertown Zoning Ordinance related to 72 Mount Auburn Street on September 16, 2025.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION

The project proposal involves the construction of a 3-story residential addition containing 8 units, to an existing historic wood frame structure originally built as single-family dwelling in the late 19th century that was later converted to office space. The office building is to be converted to a residential unit as part of the 9-unit multi-family project. Accessory parking for 5 cars is to be garaged beneath the building.

The site is located on the corner of Mt Auburn and Summer streets at the northeast edge of Watertown Square in the WSQ-2 zoning district. The meeting is presented by the project team, sharing existing site context, conditions, and the redevelopment plans. The meeting also provides time for the community to ask questions, provide comments, and learn more about the project and development process.
