An apartment building on Pleasant Street will be sold at auction on Dec. 10, 2025.
The 99-unit complex at 330–350 Pleasant St., known as Water Mills, also has nearly 18,000 sq. ft. of ground-level retail and office space. Current retail tenants include Bud’s Goods, Market Mark’s, and Johnnie’s Pizza & Wings.
The announcement on Boston Real Estate Times included a description of the property:
“The sale presents a significant opportunity in a highly desirable riverfront location, combining strong residential demand with stable commercial tenancy. With its proximity to major employment centers in Boston, Cambridge, and Watertown, the Pleasant Street property is expected to attract considerable interest from developers and institutional investors alike.”
According to the article, there will be an on-site auction on Dec. 10, at 11 a.m. Interested bidders must bring a $250,000 deposit by certified check, with additional deposits and the balance due will follow the Mortgagee’s Notice of Sale.
The auction is being held by Paul McInnis Auctions (www.PaulMcInnis.com), according to Boston Real Estate Times.
Is the auction of this recent (2018) mixed commercial-residential property collateral damage following the bust in the bioscience real estate market? Or has it failed its current owners in some other way?
I was in the carpenter’s union, local 723, and I believe I was part of the construction team.

The current owner lost a lawsuit that was filed by one of the builders/contractors (didn’t get paid for their work) So now the building is being auctioned off to pay off everyone who is owed.

I didn’t realize the Trump Corporation developed this property!
This is so sad. It is not even a half mile from my house. Johnnie’s Pizza & Wings made great wings and rollups sandwiches. I’d walk the river path there every two month or so to get lunch. I also frequented Market Mark’s which was kind of like a no name Trader’s Joe. With Store24 gone, CVS and the “Sparkle” on Main not always carrying ingredients for baking. On summer days I would walk to one of the Stope and Shops, but when the weather wasn’t great I’d go to the Market Mark’s. I hope this works out well for everyone involved.
It is a good location for anyone working west of Watertown . The dog park is nearby and the river path is behind it.
