The following announcement was provided by Russell Cooperative Preschool:
For 50 years, Russell Cooperative Preschool has been a place where young children learn through play, explore nature, and experience the joy of belonging to a caring community. This holiday season, Russell invites current families, alumni, neighbors, and the wider Watertown community to support that mission by participating in its annual Winter Gala Silent Auction, open now through Saturday, December 13th at 8 p.m.
This year’s auction showcases a wide range of local offerings, creative experiences, and one-of-a-kind items donated by current families and area businesses. Highlights include a month of chef-prepared meals, a cozy winter gift basket, a private yoga session, passes to local play spaces, and gift certificates to popular Watertown eateries. Each item reflects the spirit of generosity and connection that has long defined the Russell community.
At Russell, children build confidence, independence, and curiosity through hands-on exploration, whether they are mixing paints, climbing snowbanks, planting seeds in the garden or creating imaginative worlds with their friends. These daily experiences are guided by dedicated teachers who honor each child’s natural desire to learn. Proceeds from this year’s auction will provide essential support for Russell’s teachers and its play-based, child-centered learning environment with funds going towards classroom materials, teacher development, outdoor play enhancements, and the cooperative programs that connect families throughout the year.
Bidding closes on Saturday, December 13th at 8 p.m. Members of the public are invited to explore the auction and place their bids while there’s still time to join in!
Russell Cooperative Preschool extends its sincere thanks to all donors, bidders, and community partners for supporting this year’s Winter Gala Silent Auction and helping sustain the play-based experiences that benefit Watertown’s youngest learners.
